Nioi prefers her hair short so it's easy to manage and doesn't tangle when caught in the breeze. Though she can play as many instruments as her siblings, Nioi really excells at singing. With a crystal clear pitch and wide range she can compete with most instruments when it comes to catching the audience's attention. Nioi very much likes to be in the center of attention and isn't averse to using her charms to do just that.

Hatching:
Fire Joaghym had been instructed to assemble the aspirants. The drak was eager to get back to action after a few months of being the messenger of Water Iviju while she cared for her clutch and then later her draklings. She had allowed him into the Deep Cavern during some nights so he knew that the three eggs that had been laid had hatched into four little ones. There were only three aspirants but they'd just have to see what happened.
The three aspirants in question had all been staying at DesCas for the past weeks. The residents had started calling them "the three little women" as all of them were short of stature. Nioi and Vernacia had become friends almost immediately since they were very similar in character. And when Allira had arrived, the tiny but unusually strong gymnast spelunker had fit right in. Vernacia had managed to get the others to play the board games she so liked and Nioi often entertained the other two (and the rest of the Castle) with her singing.
Shortly after the Deep Cavern had filled with spectators and the aforementioned aspirants, Iviju swung open the doors that had kept her hidden from onlookers and she ushered her four draklings out for the world to see. When the murmurs died down, Iviju called for attention with a short bellow and then announced.
"Thank you for attending. I prezent you Mud Guljuym, Plant Lojuym and twins Wind Yiymju and Zavymju."
Then Iviju urged her draklings to go and look for the people they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.
While his sisters were soaking up the attention, the teal-green Lojuym quickly made his way to Allira to pair. Afterwards the two wind hatchlings quickly got back to the task at hand and they veered to the two remaining aspirants. They remained close together and inspected the two young women. After a few minutes of sniffing and looks at each other, they made their choices.
"I'm Yiymju." one of them said as she sat down next to Nioi, "You sssound very nice."
"I'm Zavymju." the other said nuzzling Vernacia, "You ssmell sso good."
The remaining drakling, Mud Guljuym sat down next to his mother and announced:
"My partner isz not here."
This ended the mind pairing ceremony and people started talking again, expressing their opinions and voicing their wishes to the new pairs while they settled down and got to know the knight pairs that would be training them.

Knighthood:
Castle DesCas was relatively close to Acicade Castle so Nioi had been able to visit with her family. Less auspiciously, her fiancé Raphael was first waiting to pair and then later training all the way across the planet at Wilgen Castle. They wrote letters and sent small gifts to each other. On a few occasions they even mananged to meet although it was always a gamble whether or not the other would be at the base castle or away on a training.
"You ssshould meet up more." Yiymju said, trying to be helpful.
"In a few months we'll both join the Sonata Armada at Acicade and then we'll have all the time to be together." Nioi replied.
She missed her fiancé but she knew they would be reunited soon. His letters conveyed the same sentiment and the young singer felt certain they would be happy.
"Sssso you're going to mate right after?" Yiymju asked.
"We'll hold the ceremony that pledges us to each other a month later so that we can get settled into our new functions and home."
"That'sss sslow."
"We will be living together effective immediately though." Nioi winked, "Don't worry about my happiness, look for your own."
Yiymju returned to her own thoughts. She'd met her knight's partner several times, as well as his drak. The Desert drak from Wilgen had his own appeal. He was a bit wild, a bit rough and blunt. But if there was one thing a steady wind could do, it was to polish those faults into something much more refined. She could look for a mate elsewhere. But she knew Nioi would be happiest if she were to mate with her partner's drak. She'd just have to pull out all her female wiles to make certain he knew who was boss.
