Hatching:
The clutch in the Deep Cavern belonged to local draks. Their knights had continued their jobs but had been stationed around the Castle instead of heading out on longer scouting missions.
This worked out marvelously for Noelie who preferred to read and research anyway. She visited regularly to read but could also head out with her drak, Ore Voeshhi, the sire of the clutch. Ruben, the knight of Forest Jovti, had it a little harder. But the sturdy, calm knight made do. There were people to help in and around the Castle. And if he were honest, the closer the time for the mind pairing came, he actually preferred being near the Deep Cavern.
The Judges were still looking for aspirants, but as things went, Fate usually handled these things and it's not like he could head out and judge people himself.
When Jovti signalled that the waiting was done, Ruben alerted the Castle and then waited, a bit out of his comfort zone, but enduring.

The people filing into the Deep Cavern were mostly locals. There was one young woman who'd been judged at Acicade Castle. She was a musician and had sometimes come to play, claiming that bells had a soothing effect on stress. Another aspirant that could not be missed was an unusually coloured drak from Dun Keiba who was looking to pair after his Knight had gone missing.
The doors of the inner room creaked open and Jovti appeared, with three draklings in front of her. She encouraged them with a soft humm and then addressed the gathered aspirants and spectators.
"Thank you for coming here to meet my children. I prezsent you with Water Tahiti, Rain Avhitit and Plant Intihi."
Then she turned to her children and said to them:
"Go and mingle, I'll be here if you need me."

The draklings did as told and started checking out the gathered people. they paid attention to the aspirants but also the spectators and the waiting food. The draklings were all inquisitive although they showed it in a different way.
It was the Water drakling, Tahiti who gently pushed up to Adrienne and made a connection first:
"I loved your bellz. I can shmell them on you."

Knighthood:
Savannah had been a wonderful place to train, but Adrienne had to admit that she preferred the forests around Acicade to the open plains. It was baffling how far one could see, and even moreso when flying. She'd felt quite perturbed after her first experience and not because she'd had a fear of heights as her trainer had guessed.
Today, she and Tahiti were returning to Acicade to serve in the Sonata Armada. As she'd gathered, they were the last to return but not by much. Adrienne wasn't bothered by that. She'd been able to practice and learn a lot during her time away and it would be fun to see how everyone else had fared.
"I hope you can get used to the trees." Adrienne worried.
"Az long az there'sss riverz, I think I'll be able to." Tahiti responded.
The Water drak was as relaxed as they came, in part because she meditated a lot with her knight. She'd have to see just how big trees could get but she gathered they actually could be larger than herself standing and that would be interesting to see. As far as training went, they'd kept mostly to Savannah, and then patrolling the sea and the desert in the vicinity. If Tahiti never had to set foot in the desert again, she'd be happy.
The duo landed in the Castle courtyard, the Landing Flat rather quiet today. Adrienne just had time to get down when she was greeted by the extended family she'd come to see as her own. Up front was Mirrim who had taken the lead of the Sonata Armada, closely followed by her husband Paul and then right beind, Adrienne spotted Farain. It had been a while since they'd last been able to meet and she looked forward to catching up with him the most.
"But first: formalities." she sighed.
"They won't take long." Tahiti tried to comfort her knight.
