DANCE PARTNER
"You look like you need a friend," the voice was oddly high but also deeper than expected. It was high because it was a small and young furry hatchling. It was deep because he would clearly be a singer ... as well as musician.
Someone had given this feline dragonet a little Casio hand-held keyboard. And equally somehow, his paw-pads hit it exactly where it was needed, providing his voice a nice chime and trill.
Megan marveled at that, but then looked around at all the other dragons that had what could only be called 'bling': sunglasses, shirts and ties, video game accessories, so a keyboard-holding cat seemed hardly out of the ordinary here. Wherever 'here' was, she still had a faintly nagging sensation that they were going to miss their actual dance class.
The cat glanced at the keyboard and carefully pressed a button with a claw, and the device started playing a tinny-sounding drum beat. But it was dance-worthy, and once he'd started actually playing a tune it seemed like she would be able to do a nice slow tease on a stage to it, at some point!
