Mechs held up his hand above his eyes to watch in the direction of the speeding sun. He was sure he had heard something. What could it be?
"Stevan!" he whispered-yelled.
"What?"
"Do you see anything on the horizon?"
"You should ask Ponte, he saw the ship last night. Or is that several years ago now?"
"Ponte?"
"It looks like a man." the Gypsy said, clinging closer to his coat, "Another one of the search team?"
"Maybe, he looks scared to me."
"The other one was quite a good actor too."
"Too bad he disabled the ship when he had the chance."
"I just hope Liv and Xander have more luck." Stevan butted in.
"I hope so too." Ponte said remembering the feeling of farewell on the bridge.
The man came closer and now they recognised him. It was indeed one of the men from the team that had taken them hostage. Trevor if Mechs wasn't mistaken.
"Halt!" Ponte yelled in his usual up stuck, rich voice.
"They'll kill me... and you too if they find us." Trevor tried. Why should these man care that they would only kill him? Why if he told them what the plan was they would surely surrender themselves and leave them. His only chance for survival lay with them.
"Who?" Mechs asked.
"The others!"
"Why should they? The planet will take care of us without them."
"They are crazy... I didn't know it. I didn't search you, "he looked at Stevan, "because I knew you'd get away. " That wasn't true either, but who was keeping score?

Ilandra and Ryan waited at the edge of the forest. They were in the Southern part of the Valley. So far they had seen no other human being.
"Are you sure we're headed in the right direction?" Ryan asked.
"Have a little faith. Besides, what could happen?"
"We could miss the fight, get everyone killed because they count on us and get blown up along with the planet."
"Don't be so pessimistic. I know it's tempting, but we can't give in now."
Ryan shut up and watched the ground in front of him. Suddenly there were footsteps behind him, but before he could turn he was hit on the head.
Ilandra took a swing at the young man that had attacked them. she didn't recognise him, but from his acts he would be one of the bad guys. But he was fast, faster than her because he had seen it coming. Quickly he lurched back and drove the gun he was carrying onto Ilandra's head.
"Now you are quiet." Figaro said and smiled, "I could hear you two miles away.
"Too bad you didn't hear me." Mechs said and gave him a piece of his own medicine.
"Cool!" Stevan exclaimed., "I've never seen you do that."
"That's because I don't like to do it... But he had it coming."
"That's Pedro. He's hunting us." Trevor butted in.
"Let's tie him up." Ponte said.
"I'll try to wake these other two... Are they part of the team Trevor?" Stevan asked.
"I have never seen them before."
"Let's be careful with them." Ponte urged.
Ponte craftily tied the three together. By the time he was done, Stevan had found water in a nearby stream.
