Cerces opened the door to the penthouse and barged in. To her pleasure they were all ready. The work of Mormont no doubt. Figaro would have been ready as well, but looking at Trevor, she could see he'd been up all night behind his computer. And Ivana had only been able to do the real basics of her makeup. That amused Cerces, the woman was far too fake anyway.
"Everyone got what they need?"
The four held out their bags and nodded. Trevor had packed his laptop. Figaro some reading for along the way and his violin should the occasion arise. Ivana carried the C4 and the fuses, while Mormont was wearing his long black shabby cloak and the guns. Cerces herself took the prototype and her Telp. It had been murder getting a teleporter without reporting it. She couldn't imagine why the government wanted to track these babies. They were hardly useful...
"Let's make ourselves some money." she said and left the penthouse.
Down below a Limousine was waiting to bring them to the nearest spaceport. Cerces Solit always travelled in style. Besides, wealth always persuaded some of the administrators to speed up the check-in process. Cerces didn't want to linger.

"You mean they are going to destroy a planet?"
"That is what I heard." Raven said, answering Merxes' question.
"When do we go after them?"
"Slow down Merxes." Ilandra said, "This is a thing for interplanetary police departments."
"We were hired to protect it Ilandra." Raven said.
"But not to this extent." she objected.
"And how do you think we'd persuade the police into believing us?" Raven asked.
"Well they'll just have to. You have that clue, and the penthouse..."
"Which are all legal. I checked."
"Not much else to do, Ilandra." Ovi said as she was busy packing her things.
"How can you just do this?" Ilandra asked.
"If Raven thinks it necessary... He's never been wrong before."
"Do I have to remind everyone that I'm the boss around here?" she asked.
"You are. But this is a matter of life and dead. There is no way the police would get there in time." Ovi said shaking her head.
"And how would we get there in time?"
"A ship would be too slow. They planned to leave hours ago."
"See, there is no way."
"Actually..." Ryan said, "There is, but that isn't possible."
"What?" Merxes asked.
"There is no way Raven would have Telps for all of us."
"Telps are illegal to use without permit young man." Ilandra started, sliding in her roll of protector of the others. It was her task to keep them safe and out of jail. How could she do that when they started using Telps and going on rampages through the galaxy?
"Actually I can..." Raven said.
The room went quiet. Though Ryan had suggested it and Merxes had half wanted it to happen, no-one had really thought it would be possible. Telps were priceless. And even if they got them, they were monitored from the first sale. Which meant Raven would have to steal them before they reached the market.
"It's your call Ilandra." Raven said.
"Am I the only sane one here?"
"Probably." Ovi remarked dryly, "But then you hired us with a reason."
"I know... to do good. It's not fair to get me on my ideals."
"So are you in."
"Alright... but if anyone of us gets in jail..." Ilandra said letting the threat linger. She would of course pay their bail, but it was better to keep them safe them sorry.
