Calando & Maestoso

Sforzando let out a loud thrill that instantly alerted the sea dragons of various breeds in the vicinity that her clutch was hatching. Two candidates bonded and then no more candidates were left. But that didn't stop the hatching. Another black shape sped through the waters, jumping out of the water and displaying her purple fins. The small well dragoness held her head high as she sang the triumphant tones that was her real name.
"I am Maestoso." she said solemnly, "I shall go home with my mother to explore the waters of Gremyne"
From below, a darkly coloured pool hatchling with bright green fins observed his sister. He too wanted to see the oceans of a planet with hardly any sea dragons in it. To explore and learn and then to tell the Nexus about what he'd learned. And who better to teach him than his mother?
So he let out a loud tone that grew ever more quiet until it dwindled.
"Calando, or Calath, is my name and I'm coming too."
Though Sforando had hinted at more eggs, after a while it became clear that no more LochNexian-Dolkrats would hatch. Training would surely commence the following day, but the remainder of today was for celebrating and both sea-, land- and air-dwelling creatures raised their voices in cheer for the new additions in the history of Lantessama.

STORY
Maestoso had grown considerably and was no longer dependant on either her mother or her brother. Her proud morale meant that she often tried to do things on her own and the Nekrats at Dawn Cove had learned early on that they'd better leave her fiddle until she asked for help herself.
Today though, Maestoso was far away from other seadragons. Suddenly a warm current reached her. A warm current that shouldn't exist. Curious, Maestoso went to investigate...
A few miles away a visitor was exploring. Xeger, a Loch Nexian-Hathian mix had heard about Gremyne from some of his Loch nexian relatives and he'd been eager to explore. There was something about exploring a fresh world that was so satisfying. The waters were cool, but he'd fired off a few boiling jets of breathweapon and was relaxing in a bubble of relaxing hotspring water that - he hoped - shouldn't interfere with local marine life too much.
Alas, some of the present marine life was about to interfere with Xeger.
"Who are you?" Maestoso demanded.
Her telepathic voice was as majestic as her name suggested and she felt pleased that the stranger tensed and sat up straighter instead of letting it all hang out.
"Don't you know it's rude to demand a name without giving out your own?" Xeger quoted a famous line.
"I've got the home advantage." Maestoso retorted adding a determined stare.
Xeger gave in and took a better look at the young sea dragoness in front of him.
"My name is Xeger, I hail from Tris'Hath and I carry both Hathian and Loch Nexian blood."
Maestoso had to give it to Xeger that his introduction was complete.
"Then we are distant cousins. My name is Maestoso and I carry Loch Nexian and Nekrat genes."
"Well then cousin, how about a tour of the planet?"
