Hello!
My name is Trix and I'm
making this page with the intention of it being a comprehensive and easily
navigated archive of the content I created for Creatures. I've been gone from
the community for a long time now but Creatures
1 is where it all started for me. This one little game opened up a whole new
world for me. Because not only was it a lovely game, it brought me in contact
with so many people all across the world. I met Nina from Russia, MKid from
America, Lorestas and Knux from Australia and closer to home: Lankynorn, Pez and
AquaShee. We connected through forums and used MSN messenger to communicate
(which wasn't all that easy with the different time zones). I learned to use a
variety of programs to make and alter sprites, took my first steps in breed
making and watched all those efforts come alive on the screen. I honestly can't
imagine how my life would have turned out if I hadn't played this one silly game
because at one point it was such a big part of my life.
Creatures 2 never charmed in quite the same way. A lot of beautiful
content was created for it and some of the graphics are truly beautiful but it
lacked the cuteness of the original and the possibilities from the next one.
Because Creatures 3 and the following Docking Station had me
connecting and creating more than ever. I joined a couple of groups and felt all
the happier to be part of the community and being able to ask help from others
and to help others in return. It's safe to say that most of the projects you'll
find here will be for Creatures 3 and Docking Station.
As time went on, other responsibilities (school, work, life) took me away from
the Creatures Community aside from a small revival in 2006 when I brazenly
joined the CCSF of that year. It's been a long time but
now that the Creatures games have gotten more attention, I've found my way back
to the Creatures Community. It's good to be back and with that came the
knowledge that a lot has changed, least of which the screen resolution of most
computers. So my old layout is impossibly tiny compared to before. I don't have
my old password anymore so I made a brand new layout and moved it to my own
domain (Being a working adult has it's perks). I've found that some of my agents
didn't work with the newer game versions so I'll be testing and editing breeds,
genfiles and agents and putting them back up for download.
I hope you find what you
want to here. Older versions will remain up on the old
Universe of Ettins if you
want to poke at them, you're free to do so.
All the content is distributed as is, you are free to pick them apart, use parts
of them or expand upon them. Because the most important thing about playing
creatures is to connect and have fun.
All of this (and probably
the older versions) will also be available at the Eem Foo
Archive.
Also be certain to visit the Creatures
Wiki!
