Flight 3
Green Jybarith and Crestless Blue Switamth

"I'm ready, Leen! Call Switamth!" Jybarith said.
Leen looked at her radiant green and smiled. "I think you can call him faster, dear."
"That's true." Jybarith said.
Not soon after Leen noticed Blue Switamth coming in from the North. Because this was a closed flight and they hadn't want any other dragon getting too excited, Leen and Gido had decided to hold the flight above the main land and not on the island.
Switamth landed and let Gido dismount. He waited there patiently while Leen and Gido embraced each other. Jybarith flew up and caught her first wild runner.
"Only the blood dear, let's show Switamth and Gido we aren't easy." She grinned.
After another herdbeast, Jybarith felt ready to rise. With one big jump she was up in the sky and flew off. Switamth bugled and followed. Leen and Gido got closer together, holding hands, being one with their dragons.
"Catch me if you can!" Jybarith sounded in their heads and turned on her tailtip.
Switamth turned in the blink of an eye, lagging a bit after her sudden manoeuvre. He felt he wouldn't win this by just following her. He'd have to be smart to catch her. He followed her movements for a while, letting her use up a lot of energy. Then he saw an opening! She would turn soon and loose just enough time for him to catch her tail if he could get close enough to it. With a sudden burst of speed he sped forward. She turned, trying to avoid him. He adjusted his angle and caught her tail. Switamth had caught her. Jybarith felt him clutching her tail and surrendered, he had done good and deserved her.
While the 2 dragons held on to each other, the two humans gasped for breath. Then realised it wasn't breath they needed, it was each other. They turned and kissed.
High in the sky the victorious bugle of Switamth sounded, but the humans didn't notice it, they only noticed each other's heartbeats.

"Leen!!! Come fast! I need you!!" Jybarith exclaimed.
"Gido! Come and see my children!" Switamth said.
Since their mating flight both dragons had spoken to both riders. Gido and Leen left their double weyr and ran to the hacthing grounds. Jybarith was sitting proudly in front of her clutch of 6 eggs. One of them was small. Gido and Leen exchanged glances.
"Do you think Switamth is rare enough to produce a white or black?" Leen asked.
"He might be, I don't know. Well, there is always a chance of a rare in a normal clutch too."
"Yeah."
Leen said and turned to Jybarith, "How many Candidates should we ask for?"
"6 will be fine.."
