Lantessama Isle - Information
Gem dragons as a rule are anywhere between two and a half
feet to four feet. They do not have legs, but they are streamlined and have
large wings to take them where they need to go. They have a small gem resting on
their forehead. As hatchlings they are a white-blue crystal colour. They don't
show their power until they grow to be an adult. As an adult, they tend to have
a crystal of the same type of their magic floating around them. They also do not
tell their Bondmates their name or gender until adult for reasons.
Though not a native species, the small, serpentine dragons have
lived long enough on Lantessama Isle that they're known by most of it's
residents. Though only about 3-4 feet long, they boast quite powerful magic. The
magic of these 7 Gem dragons combined has started to influence the Isle itself.
Lately, dragons born on the isle seem to be coloured differently from before.
Gem-tones and patterns seem to become more common each day.
Gem Dragons aren't my own creation, they were available from this site long ago. I really like their concept and so I decided to do a tribute clutch at my own agency. I don't know yet if there'll be more Gem Dragon Clutches, but if people want to breed their Gem Dragons I won't object.
Conventions:
* Gem Dragons talk using telepathy
* Gem Dragons reach sexual maturity (adulthood) at around 2 years
of age.
* Gem Dragon skin is like a snake or lizard, it has tiny scales
that protect it from tears/injury when on uneven ground.

|
| Coal | The gem on this one is black and
the dragon is of mysterious ways. Powers: able to light anything with a small flame generated from its mind. Chance: exceedingly high. |
| Clay | Earthy by nature, these dragons
love to play with clay and take nature walks. Powers: can build anything with clay. Chance: exceedingly high. |
| Glass | Gems range in color, but are all
glass. These dragons seem hard and sharp, but are loving. Powers: to melt
sand into glass and shape it. Chance: very high. |
| Sandstone | These dragons honor truth and can
cut to the bone of a problem quickly. Powers: blasts of sand on their enemies, create whirlwinds of sand and sand dunes. Chance:: very high. |
| Amber | Beautiful dragons who enjoy fun and
don't like to be hampered with sorrows. Powers: to enclose something with amber, and to shape amber itself. Chance: very high. |
| Quartz | One of the more common ones seen by
people, these dragons love strangers. Powers: they sing beautifully and can make the walls and crystals around them hum pleasently. Chance: high. |

| Amethyst | "Dream dragons." They are
very shy and lovable. Powers: they have prophetic dreams, and they increase dreams in their bond mate. Chance: high-medium. |
| Obsidian | Shiny, hard and sharp. Friendly
dragons who are hurt easily. (NOT for the introverts.) Powers: sharpening objects, and making helpful tools. Chance: medium-high. |
| Mica | Shiny, pretty, these dragons are
sweet and have sunshiny personalities. Powers: can make anything seem beautiful, can mix things together (eg. stones, food, textures...). Chance: medium. |
| Copper | Shiny, very dependable and
bendable. These dragons don't have a particular personality. Powers: works with copper for jewelry and can put people into requested moods. Chance: medium. |
| Jade | Most are dependable and as stubborn
as the rock they get their gems from. Powers: a healer, this one keeps itself and those around it healthy instinctively. Chance: medium, an occasional white jade might appear. |
| Ruby | Loving, but fiercly independant.
These are friendly with strangers only to a point. Powers: powers of the heart, both physically (heartbeat) and emotionally (fall in love). Chance: medium-low. |
| Sapphire | With quick minds and sharp
thoughts, they are not afraid to hurt to get to the bottom of things. Powers: spiritual cleasning and they can help people get over bad situations. Chance: medium-low. |

| Gold | Pretty and very protective. Gender: Always Female. Powers: leadership, and can tame the wildest heart. Chance: 1 out of every 10 |
| Emerald | "Tree dragons." Loving,
caring, and nurturing, but like earth, stubborn and stable. Gender: Male and Female. Powers: growing things to enormous heights and increasing magic potential in bondmate. Chance: 1 out of every 12 |
| Diamond | Working dragons with the compassion
of a rock. Don't be fooled, though, they are very loyal. Gender: Male and Female. Powers: can make balls of light and a master star gazer. Chance: 1 out of every 14 |
| Fossile | They act anchient, and are masters
of knowledge. If they want, they can answer age old questions. Gender: Male. Powers: the preservation of anything, including food, and it is still edible. Chance: 1 out of every 15 |
| Star Sapphire | Very queen-like, and she is very
protective over all she considers hers. Gender: Always Female. Powers: same as Sapphire, create rocks into pure star matter and carve them beautifully. Chance: 1 out of every 18 |
