Draks on Planet Icarus
come in 12 colors, where each color name is a combination of a
body and wing color. These can be the same or different (See chart 1
below). The colors are approximately equal
in distribution, and no one color is more important, special, or rare
than any other. All the colors have
certain personality traits and physical characteristics that
are as ingrained in their genes as their colors.
In recent years it's become known that regional differences do exist
and that sometimes drak colors aren't as fixed as was once believed.
Sometimes a day might be white with yellow or white with orange, even
white with pink is prevalent in some areas (See chart 2 below for
options).
As with all species, genetic
mutations can occur, although mutated Draklings that survive to
adulthood are very rare. Mutations in hatchlings often prevent the egg
from surviving or hatching. But on occasion, the mutated eggs can
hatch, often producing strangely colored Draklings. These mutations
are very rare and occur, on average, in one in every 100 Draklings (note:
working number is 5 in 100 as the lower number just doesn't work).

Chart 2: Variety in drak
coloration
Practical Information: You can name
these colors differently (most Icarian colors have a natural theme), but please
list the "official" color somewhere, either in the name or
behind it between parenthesis so it won't be classed as a rare. The
names listed below are records from prior "strange colorations"
and suggestions by the active castles.
*Note that Marble
and Stone are used for both Earth and Ore variations and they're
interchangeable.
Some would even go as far as to call it an unofficial extra colour.
