Epilogue
Iyru looked at the sky. So far they had seen no signs of repercussions from earth. Two months they had lived in uncertainty like this, but slowly their original grim attitudes had grown more optimistic. It seemed unlikely that the military would come again. From the ten people that had abandoned their dragons only two had made it to Earth, raving lunatics by then, Iyru vehemently hoped. She hoped they would be scaring enough to discourage an attack.
Two months... where had the time gone? Most of the clutches had hatched and new eggs had been laid in the AIDEN's, awaiting candidates they would have to find themselves on Earth and later in the prospering families on Cyatri. 
Construction of the library on Kethoda Isle had been started, Knux already busy studying the changes the abandoned dragons had gone through. Abandoning was just another conditions these dragons had to adjust too. Eight had survived the betrayal of their rider and though they were fragile, the contact with the other dragons, their extended family, seemed to heal them.
She hoped it was right to be hopeful again. She dared to dream of an independent future where they would be allowed to dream of uniting dragons and humans. She smiled at having such a bright vision for the future. But it was hard not to dream of bright things in this wonderful new Gaia. They truly had been given a new chance. 
Thinking of the gentle wings guarding them she prayed to bring them a safer world. A safer world for everyone in the universe and in particular for the new life growing in her. For the ones that would take over tending Cyatri in the future.
"I hope..." she called to the sky believing she would be heard.
