STATS
Name: Vidya
Age: Immortal so what's the difference?
Gender: Leaning toward female but can do both
Race: Demon
Class: Warrior Description:
With her ashen grey skill, pointy ears and long tail,
Vidya is often mistaken to be a gargoyle. The two small horns protruding
from forehead are in fact the giveaway that she is a demon. She has long
silver hair that is streaked with pink and gold. She can retract her wings
at will, only using them when she needs to fly.
Personality: Hot-tempered, impatient and
passionate, Vidya can move mountains for what is important to her.
Everything else is just a footnote and won't get the time of day. She gets
bored easily and is always looking for entertainment. She does not believe
in standing by or being in the audience, she want to act.
Skills:
*Magic: can do just about
anything but isn't all that powerful so needs to recharge.
*Flight
*Telempathy, especially good at reading desires in
others
Enjoys: Sparring, challenges
Dislikes: Being mistaken for a gargoyle *-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*
SPONSORSHIP
DEAL
Vidya relished the challenge of a decent opponent.
Especially one that could take her one on one. Eventually they would tire
and make a mistake but if they could land a killing blow before that Vidya
would admit defeat and offer a boon. If not then well... Hell always
needed souls and the demons were the ones to get them there.
But before she could finish her game, Vidya was summoned by the higher ups
and she appeared before them in a small meeting room.
"You called?" she asked, feeling irked that she'd just been transported
without prior warning.
The three before her however, were not the least of demons so she chose to
not give away her feelings on the matter. They would know anyway and
probably had enjoyed it.
"We've got an offer for you." the lowest in rank said while the other two
looked on.
"Show me."
Demons after all always dealt with contracts in writing. Preferably
bloodsigned and bespelled with protective clauses. Ironclad was too light
a term for it. She'd need to tread carefully.
After a thorough reading however, Vidya looked up and asked:
"Are you serious?"
"Very much so. Consider it a promotion."
Taking care of a hatchling dragon would probably entail quite a bit of
work. But the rewards offered did seem to be worth the time it would take.
And if Vidya had read it right, there was no need to end the sponsorship
after the three years specified. If the dragon was agreeable, they could
prolong the contract and Vidya would be set for eternity.
"I'll take it." she nodded and her signature appeared as if by magic.
And again Vidya was transported. This time she was sent to an amalgam of
places and times which was right now designated as Twoarth.
"I've come to sponsor an egg." she announced when she appeared.
A woman looked her over from head to toe, seeming to try to take stock of
her.
"Eggs hatch when they're ready." she announced, "But feel free to wait
around."
Luckily - especially for the other residents - the eggs were ready to
hatch a few days later. Vidya waited, her eyes fixed upon the egg she knew
held her charge. The higher-ups had been as nice as to float a little mark
over it so she'd know.
A lightly coloured dragon emerged, her wings, ridge and belly showing a
gradient from pink to purple. With her webbed feet and finned ears it was
clear that she would be most at home in the water.
"Hey Ollkinth." Vidya said before the dragon was even close to her, "Would
you prefer ocean or lake?"
"Lake." Ollkinth answered.
"Well that settles our living quarters. Anything else you want?"
"Food. And a decent place to sleep."
Ollkinth replied.
"Then let's go."
Ollkinth nodded and followed. Although curt, the demon did listen to her
needs. As long as she didn't snore they'd get along well. *-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*-;-*
SWIM
"Get your mind away from battle
tactics for one moment." Ollkinth complained.
"But this new game is..."
Vidya shut up when she saw the look on Ollkinth's face. The sea Glenn was
annoyed. Usually she just said what was on her mind and then went to do
her thing. Their compnaionship was easy like that and had been for the
past three years while Vidya had sponsored her.
"I just need your attention for a moment."
"You have it."
"I'll be going away for a while to swim and I
figured I'd let you know."
"Sure a swim isn't anything.... oh, wait, a SWIM."
"Yes. Glad you understand. Now you can return to
your entertainment."
"Contact me if you need anything!"
