Description: 5’10“ tall with a well-muscled build. On highly magical worlds, their fur is pastel pink fading into pastel yellow on their undersides, with darker pink rosette spots, the centres of which are pale blue. When they travel to low- and non-magical worlds (such as Pern), their fur appears identical to a regular leopard.
Personality: Seemingly rather gruff and grumpy when someone first meets them, Demedo actually has a heart of gold: underneath the brusque, overly honest exterior is a gentle and compassionate person. Outside of stating the blatantly obvious and voicing uncomfortable truths, however, they are incredibly shy and have trouble making friends, largely due to their poorly refined social skills. Once someone shows them even an ounce of kindness, they latch onto them and become somewhat clingy. Because of this, Demedo trusts new friends far too readily, which makes them easy to manipulate and deceive. While not stupid as such, Demedo is not well-educated and relies more on intuition than logical thought.
Short Bio: Originating from a small town in the Spectral Wilds, Demedo moved to a larger city as a teenager, where they started working as a caravan guard. Discovering that they enjoyed travelling, they signed up to work for any caravan or trading convoy heading the furthest distance, which eventually led to them working with one that took them to another world entirely.
Skills: Can use lightning magic and create colourful illusions.

STORY
After their most recent run to Lantessama Isle, the Anthro Leopard Guard Demedo Dawnspark had gotten a taste of life as an interstellar traveller and that life suited them just fine. Their time on Lantessama had been brief as the island wasn't all that big, and when the opportunity came to help transport a shipment to the joined agencies of Dragon Pact, they took it with both hands.
After a long voyage, Demedo was relieved to be able to walk around. The settlement was busy. All around them there were people doing things. Sounds, smells and sights assaulted his senses. It felt a bit overwhelming but Demedo drank it all in. Every little detail was different from what they were used to.
Without a job lined up for them and without a penny - or whatever the local currency was - to their name, Demedo turned to doing magic tricks on corners. Magical flowers bloomed on barren trees, only to vanish in a burst of lightning that hit like a firework. Little animals popped up out of cracks and crevices on a wall and then did little tricks to entertain their audience. They changed the colour of their spots every few minutes, causing children to look in wonder.
And then a special viewer came. Half white, half black with purple-pink dragonfly wings and blue-green spots. The Unicorn Hydra was fuzzy all over and had a distinct rainbow sheen t their hide. And just like Demedo, they excelled at Illusion magic. Demedo's tricks had caught their attention and all of their eyes were focused on what Demedo's next trick would be.
"I can do that too!" they told themselves and all heads agreed that this was indeed the case.
Suddenly Demedo's illusions grew as Tesanem added their energy to them and elaborated them with their own imagination. Maybe they hadn't exactly thought thihs true since both Tesanem and Demedo lost control of the illusion, leaving it to explode in a flurry of sparkles. Luckily the audience thought it was all part of the show and they left satisfied believing the show to be over.
"Sorry." Tesanem apologized.
Demedo frowned.
"Well you chased away my crowd."
But Demedo wasn't exactly angry. Thet had gotten a decent amount of coins from the performance after all. And now that his audience was gone, Demedo could go someplace else and do one more before turning in to sleep.
Tesanem misinterpreted Demedo's frown as anger though and the 4-headed horned hydra felt the need to atone.
"How about we show you around to repay you? We know all the good spots!"
"Oh, of course, thank you." Demedo replied.
"Maybe we can even work on an act together." Tesanem continued, "We would be able to create wonderful things."
Demedo pondered about the possibility, their face scrunching. It would be a blessing to not have to create the illusions on their own. And with a bigger area to play with, there were countless of stories they could create.
"I'd like that."
