Name: Ophelia
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Description: Ophelia
has tanned skin and thick, straight brown hair that is difficult to style.
Along with her narrow eyes they hint to an Asian descent but there are
definitely other lineages in her family tree. She has a heart-shaped face,
luscious lips and a straight nose that is on the larger side but works on
her face. Ophelia is of medium height.
Personality: Though still very
young, Ophelia knows what she wants and what she's doing. She is stubborn,
decisive and has little patience for others who dally or are ignorant. The
future of the planet is at stake and she'll be part of the team to conquer
whatever calamities are flung toward them.
Short Bio: Ophelia grew up on the island where they prepared
for the end of the world. Her parents had dealings with the sect and she
learned of them and was convinced of the importance of their teachings.
She's been working to be one of the chosen ones since she was a teenager and
has trained, studied and foregone other things to make it so. Even if she
isn't a member of the sect, she's still got a chance to be chosen.

Hatching
After their unfortunate crash into the pedestal with the
crystal, Ophelia, Izreen and Daniel were transported to a realm somewhat
outside of the normal time-space continuum. But that was probably not all
that strange as dragons were a thing of myth. So why shouldn't there be
alternate dimensions and hidden universes?
Ophelia quickly understood she'd gone from one island paradise to another.
They were just as much outsiders here as when she'd been on earth but they
were welcomed just the same. She threw herself into the teachings with the
exact zeal that had helped her before. She was soon approved to stand for
one of the many clutches of sea dragons.
Waiting, up to her thighs in the tepid water, was not in the least
uncomfortable. The tension of keeping focused and trying to take
everything in however was. Ophelia could not relax. Too much was riding on
this. If only she could will a dragon to her. But alas it didn't work like
that.
Still, one of the newly hatched dragons found her charming and
interesting. The bright red scaled dragoness with paler belly armour and
webbing knew what she liked and this human offered promise. The smell of
fish that clung to her was particularly appealing although that didn't
seem to come from her but from something she was carrying.
Eglantier followed her nose and tapped the young woman's pockets until she
found the source of that delicious smell.
"You have a greater calling." she
thought, "I quite like that."

Training
Swimming along a sea dragon was like riding a
rollercoaster underwater. Ophelia held on for as long as she could and she
knew that Eglantier helped her by using both her shielding and water
manipulation. But eventually, she always needed to let go. Ophelia had
asked Eglantier once whether she ever wanted to dive deeper, but her
dragon had confided that swimming in the deep hurt her. She was more
suited for the shallows and top layer of the water. She could even leave
the water and stay on land for short times as long as she was kept wet.
It was on one of their daily swims that Ophelia first learned about
another ability that Eglantier possessed. Her partner was now adult and in
full control of her powers. Soon they would need to leave to save
Ophelia's home but they'd been told they needed to wait for a sign. Alas
cosmic messages had not reached them. Or if they had, they'd not noticed.
"It'll be something big." Eglantier
reassured her.
"How would you know?"
"You did find the signs swiftly the first time
round. This time will be the same."
"I just wish things would hurry up. Having the fate of the world on
your shoulders is heavy. I feel like I'm letting everyone down."
"Life and death is all just relative."
her dragon said cryptically.
Suddenly a flurry of sediment obscured Ophelia's sight and then a few
undead fish appeared to rise up to greet them.
"See?" Eglantier asked.
She then let go of the necromancy and the fish returned to their eternal
rest, their essence once more released. Before Ophelia could fully grasp
what had just happened, a familiar pink glow surrounded her.
"I think we have our sign!" she said excitedly.

Flight
Saving the world is a curious thing. You've done something
amazing and yet nobody knows you've done it. And then you're left with the
knowledge that you no longer have a place in your own world. Maybe she
expected fame and fortune. Maybe just a medal to gaze at and to show off
to her grandkids one day. Theorethically she could have stayed. The people
on the island believed her -and mostly Daniel- when they'd told them the
prophecy had been conquered. But they'd still need to hide their dragons.
That just seemed like something impossible to do.
So they'd decided to part ways and look for their own fate. Maybe sometime
they would meet. Probably not often.
"At least you got me out of the deal."
Eglantier added with a bit of prickly humour.
"You're the best." Ophelia agreed.
"Let me take you places and let me show you
things!"
"Lead the way." Ophelia agreed.
