Sumire
Name: Sumire
Gender: Female
Age: 110
Race: Half Elf
Magic Affinity: Precognition
Artefact:
Scrolls, Papers, Books,...
Looks: Tall
and stately, Sumire has a fair skin, long brown hair that she keeps in an
intricate but traditional hairstyle and dark brown eyes. Her pointed ears
are not exceptionally large, but they are shaped elegantly. Her nose is
rather big and she has some lines from all the reading and frowning that
she's done. Sumire usually pairs the purple of her order with monochrome
fabrics.
Personality: Though strict and precise, Sumire
has a soft spot for youngsters and troublemakers. She spent her younger
years teaching and misses it now that she's been promoted to the running
of the order. Her former students often consult her with problems and just
to talk to her or get her opinion.
Skills: A high priest of her order, Sumire's
magic is exceptionally strong. There are many spells she keeps hidden from
others as knowledge of the future can be dangerous in the wrong hands and
catastrophical in the hands of fools.
Hobbies: Reading stories that have nothing to
do with her work.
Family: Sumire
was born to two half-elf parents. They have a good relationship and often
meet up for diner and to talk.
Pets: White-Purple

MEETING
Sumire checked her text once more. She was certain the
riddle hadn't been there the day before. The magical scroll that was her
artefact had a mind of it's own and Sumire wasn't too surprised when texts
appeared, but this riddle was something else. For one thing itwas a direct
message to her. And that wasn't something that she'd associated with her
scroll before. The font was also different.
Despite her years of experience, Sumire was far from old for her species
and the mystery sparked her interest. She couldn't help but smile when she
read the riddle once more:
The Full Moon pales to your
beauty
Stars align in the sky to show your duty
A meeting in absence of the Sun
to see if our combined fates can be spun
down by the bay of Ilyudi
The bay of Ilyudi
was something that most people would not know. The place was no longer a
bay since the river Ilyu had been rerouted half a century ago. But Sumire
had played in the bay often as a child and she remembered the place
fondly. What remained now was a plain of grass where wild horses ran free.
The full moon was tomorrow night. She'd need to hurry to get there in
time.
Night was coming,
the sun gone but wisps of colour still remaining in one part of the sky:
violets, purples and a rich dark blue that faded to black where the light
could no longer reach. Sumire tensed and waited. Would anything happen?
Raiji appeared at
the far end of the plain where once the bay had once met the land. The
horses that roamed here had turned in for the night and he was happy for
that, his presence might spook them otherwise. The dragon-unicorn hybrid
knew everything except his own fate. But when one of his siblings had told
him to head out here in some choice riddle, he'd obeyed.
A single woman was present and Raiji could only assume they were meant to
meet. So he advanced in his draconic form, guessing that a two-headed
human might be even more disturbing. Although he could not be sure what
this woman was sued to. She seemed ageless, older than her appearance
would suggest, with pointed ears and an intricate hairdo.
"Greetings." Raiji said.
Sumire looked up and didn't even bat an eye. Although dragons were not
native to Khleur, she had read about them in her scrolls and even in the
stories she read as a hobby. She'd heard rumours too. Although, none of
those sources had mentioned two heads, twisted horns and three tails.
"Evening." she replied, "My name is Sumire."
"Raiji Jariane." the white unicorn-dragon
hybrid added.
"I quite enjoyed your introduction." she added, "Although I don't think I
can hold a candle to the moon."
"It was one of my siblings that set us up, I'm
certain they were acting according to what fate asked of them."
The future was set in stone after all. If they had been meant to meet then
they would have had to act out their part in it. Neither of them knew what
the future would held for their partnership, but they would discover that
together.
