Hawrd

Stats
Name: Hawrd (read: "Howard")
Age: 24
Gender: Male

Description: Hawrd is thin, with sinewy muscles and visible bone structure. He looks frail enough to be blown away by a strong gust of air but he is far from feeble. He has a wirey sort of strength, brought on from endurance and scarcity. His long dark brown hair is usually kept in a messy tail or bun. At times, usually winter, he grows out his beard and moustache but he shaves them in summer. He has grey eyes and a thin nose and lips. His ears are a bit too big for the rest of his face.
Personality: Hawrd is not used to contact with other people. He is suspicious of strangers and reclusive. People that don't know him will find him unfriendly and rude but those that have come to know him just let him be and don't invade his space too much. His only constant companion is a small grey-green faerie drak.
Short Bio: Hawrd has led a difficult life, eking out a living by fishing and scavenging the coast of Chindor Isle. While the castle was being built, Hawrd kept far away. He'd been on Chindor longer, had seen the mysterious entity in the mist and knew not to question his sanity afterwards. He's probably the one person who knows Chindor Island best and as such proved to be a valuable asset for the new castle, so much so that he was judged and carried off the first chance the knights got.
Skills: Fishing, Scavenging

Pets: Algae Faerie Drak Megul (f) from Dragon Pact (birthday giveaway 2023)
Drak:
Drizzle Orphaz (f) from Chindor Castle

Mind Pairing
That Morning, Day drak Gül-Solmaz decided it was time to let her hatchlings loose upon the world. She arose early, with her mate Agave Asaph following without complaint. "Itd izs a wontderful day, Asssaph." She stretched and began waking the young ones. This had been their last sleep together and she felt her mind slide down toward the darkness. The faerie draks in her care began to spiral around above her head. The mist outside hung low to the ground with fingers of sunlight reaching through towards the earth.
Agave Asaph readily agreed and sensing her change even before Melody and Bloom had reacted to her mood, then nudged her with his nearest shoulder. "Itch isz a wonderful day tcho tchange thche livezs of szome Aszpirantchs."
Gül-Solmaz chuckled at his quirky thought. He was right, and, just like that the clouds of her mind were filled again with sunlight. Today was so important for her clutch that there was no room for clouds, only sunshine. She gave each one her usual sun-bright smile.
Outside of the Deep Cavern Gül-Solmaz had a bondmate announcing the emergence of the younger draks later today. Lurosal, a young Forest drak herself, instructed everyone to get ready on this auspicious day. Gül-Solmaz would introduce them as they came out while her mate and bond stood off to the side.
Once everyone had arrived, Day Gül-Solmaz stood regal in her more refined state of mind with a well-behaved faerie drak perched upon each of her shoulders.
The first young drak came out and Gül-Solmaz announced her arrival. Bephaz, and then Jorazph and Lazph all bonded draks. It was uncommon but not really rare to have draks pair with their own. Hawrd stood with a noticeable space around him from the others in the room. He was a legend around Chindor and it was well-known that he was "grumpy," as Orphaz, the next drakling, might say. She already knew about him. Very difficult to get to know, he forsook the familiarity of friends and just preferred to be left alone. Almost everyone understood and complied. But this drakling seemed not to notice at all and padded right up to him with tiny clickity claws. Up close he wasn't as scary as she thought he'd be. The words exchanged were strained at first, but once Hawrd realized he had been chosen by little Drizzle Orphaz, a Rain variant, he relaxed. The room became silent with surprise for a while as the oblivious conversation became easy and upbeat.

Knight
Orphaz had learned a lot from her knight. His observations were keen and his knowledge of Chindor and it's surroundings was vast. He knew places not even the draks knew, likely because he was small enough to fit into them. As a young drakling she'd followed him around like a puppy, enjoying all the wonders he could show her. Now she was too big to fit in those narrow crevaces.... but she was large enough to fly all over Icarus.
"Let's take a trip!" Orphaz suggested.
"We have our jobs?" Hawrd protested.
"Everyone gets time off. Let's go explore more of Icarus. There must be more amazing places and I want to see them all!"
"When you say it like that I can hardly say no."

Orphaz joined the Mannaz Armada at Chindor Castle as scouts
