Description: Ranell is a lanky girl, tall and thin with short medium brown hair and dark brown eyes. She is often mistaken for a boy and has been dressing as one for years in order to slip away from her home into the outside life. She really enjoys her freedom and likes to wander in the city, going from tavern to tavern, from stall to stall, occasionally even juggling a job with her father's demanding requests.
Family: Ranell is the second oldest child in the rich merchant family of linen merchant Sayren (55). She takes after her mother's side of the family both in appearance and character, causing her to not be liked by her father. But then none of her sisters matter to Sayren, only his youngest child, his only son and heir, matters.

Hatching:
Jaryûnha gave a powerful rap on the doors that separated the inner room of the deep cavern from the room that was set up to accomodate a large group of humans and draks. Her three draklings were getting excited that their big day was finally here. She had instructed them as best as she could, but all had inherited her energy, even if they had different colours. Her two sons, a righteous mud and an impish plant-variant were practically bouncing while her daughter, a night with a sneaky glint in her eyes, was attempting to open the door from the inside. Luckily Kanasu, Jaryûnha's life mate and both their knights were outside. They managed to stop the drakling from tumbling into the room and messing up her debut.
But there was no way she could lead her draklings out. All three rushed out and Jaryûnha followed as dignified as she could. As a doting mother, she could forgive her children their excitement.
"I'll make thisz quik." she announced, "I prezent you with Qinhasu" she pointed at her mud son, "Wesuha," her tail swayed toward her daughter, "and Xohasu." nodding toward her plant son.
The draklings stepped, tumbled and skipped in between the spectators and would have knocked down anything in their way if anything had been present. Luckily the waiting buffet was at the far end of the room.
The last drakling remaining, the male plant variant, was approaching a slender young woman from nearby Jagharta. Ranell had noticed the green drakling and was wondering if she should do something special. Before she could make an action, the drakling tapped her right shoulder with his tail, making her turn, only to duck around her left side and sitting down in front of her while she checked behind.
"Got you!" Xohasu grinned.

Knighthood:
"Make like the Grassss." Xohasu said, stretching himself along the dirt and nearly disappearing completely in the field. Not an easy feat for a drak. Next to him, Ranell was posing as part of a log, her brown coat almost matching the bark.
Somewhere not too far away, Ignace was observing their efforts. rashun was flying overhead and observing the scene. If the duo performed well enouh, they would be permitted to graduate from being squires. They'd join the Elegia armada as knights and would be given more tasks and responsibilities. Both Ranell and Xohasu were ready.
After several more examinations where they were told to disguise themselves, listen into conversations and enter buildings without being recognised, their test was finally over.
"Welcome to Elegia Armada!"
Ignace preferred to not keep his students in limbo. The bright smile on Ranell's face and the excited roar of Xohasu were as much a reward for their trainer as his words had been for thelm
