STATS
Name: Erein

Class:
Nomadic Hunter

Description: A pale-furred felinhuman with golden tabby stripes. Erein has yellow cat eyes, small ears, a large nose with sensitive whiskers and a versatile tail that gives him extra balance. Personality: Erein is an inquisitive hunter who likes a good challenge and an adventure to keep his interest. He won't ever be a 'domesticated' cat and likely will never settle down for a single person. He loves change and won't allow his life to stagnate. He doesn't have much appreciation for the arts and his take on creative is more about making weapons and traps on the fly.
Skills:
     *Survival
     *Amazing balance and agility
     *Great endurance
     *MacGuyver-styled resilience (but low-tech)

STORY
Running across the bridge, Erein dared to look over his shoulder. Those pursuing the light-coloured tabby were not far behind. Erein hoped the bridge would prove to be some kind of border but it was just as likely that the people chasing him would continue to do so. He hadn't known he'd crossed into hunting grounds. It's not as if they had fenced off the property. Although, tp be fair, the abundance of game should maybe have tipped him off. Erein grinned as he recalled the taste of the roasted rabbit. He had eaten well last night.
As he set foot on the other side, a curious light surrounded Erein and a dizzying sensation took hold of him. His mind had just time enough to realise he'd tripped a teleportation trap before the world spinned out of focus. Only a fraction of a second later an entirely different view came into focus. Gone were the forests traversed with cliffs that had been carved out by rivers in their depths. Erein now found himself in the dunes, a sea spreading out before him and sand all around. Vegetation was sparse but not completely gone, as if turning to autumn but there wasn't a chill in the air. Something in the air smelled alien and Erein remembered hearing about teleportation traps losing their bounds after not being tended regularly. In such cases people tended to vanish. Had he vanished?
"Good sir, are you here about the Quadwings?" someone asked.
Suprised that he could understand the woman in front of him he carefully tried to not look dangerous as he stated:
"I'm sorry, I think I ended up here by accident. Could you explain a bit more?"
A rudimentary explanation later, now knowing he was on a different world in a timeframe he could not be certain off was relative to his own but wouldn't matter anyway if it was, Erein was brought up to speed about the planet Aneith and it's various people and dragon species.
"The Quadwings are just about ready to leave the nest and that's why a lot of people have gathered. Some manage to strike a bond with the young dragons. While others might just be here to see the new dragons to boast about them. We always have a lot of visitors during Itia because of it."
"I might as well see the sights now that I'm here." Erein shrugged, interested despite his predicament.
There was no apparent danger after all. people were friendly and he'd find work to do and then he'd travel just like he'd done before.

Itia was slowly turning into Tieon, the season Erein would have called Autumn before. As he'd done since shortly after his arrival, he made his way toward the dens of the Quadwings where he was to help with the chores and general well-being of the dragons. It was mostly grunt work and he'd been allowed to do it after some of the older dragons had given their approval. Somehow Erein suspected they liked him because he was soft to the touch. Often he was approached during his work for a nuzzle or a few pats. The dragons were good about asking permission so he didn't mind it.
One youngster in particular always sought him out. The dragon was white with a grey pattern that looked a bit like spilled ink. It had taken a while for Ipeve to muster his courage, but now the dragon was comfortable around the tiger-human and they often spoke.
"I'm thinking about moving soon." Erein said.
"Wouldn't you stay until after Harth?" Ipeve asked, "It gets really cold or so I've been told."
"I can take a bit of cold." Erein guffawed, "I have fur."
Ipeve couldn't stop fretting about his friend leaving though. And suddenly an idea came to his mind:
"What if I go with you?" Two are better than one and I could help you keep warm."
Erein considered the offer.
"I guess I wouldn't mind a tag-along. I could use a guide but I guess you haven't been around either."
"I can ask the other dragons, act as a go-between when we meet up."
"Sure."
Erein didn't mention that he thought all dragons were nice and would probably help him. He wasn't exactly opposed to the Ipeve sticking around. They could protect each other and that was womething he'd lacked before. The more he thought about it, the more Erein believed it was a good idea.
A,d so, after Harth, the two of them set out to discover Aneith.
