Description: Cyphon has beige-brown scales, a finned ridge that runs from his forehead to half his back and fins that protect his earducts. His face has the general shape of a snake with a more pronounced snout and deep-set eyes with blue irises. As most snakes, Cyphon has no eyelids and as such can't blink, his eyes are protected by a spectacle (transparent eyelid). Cyphon has a long tail that isn't exactly prehensile but he can use it for very basic tasks.
Personality: Cyphon is restrained, thoughtful and inquisitive. He has studied for a long time in the field of mental health and has adopted a lot of the skills and manners in his own personality. He is a firm believer of meditation and contemplative thinking. In knowledge lies the key to understanding the motved of others, but there is a limit to knowledge and as such to what one can understand about others. Cyphon finds unexpected behaviours fun and entertaining.

A SOOTHING PARTNER
Cyphon felt watched. It was not unusual for the lizardman who was visiting Tris'Hath to study under the masters of Adon. He had spent a lot of time perfecting his craft on his home planet but all knowledge had limits and Cyphon had felt that although he'd reached the the pinnacle at his alma mater, he had yet places to go and things to learn. So here he was, on Tris'Hath, far from everything he knew and looking quite different from the norm around here.
Maybe it was this small sense of homseickness that had drawn Soothing Monster to the exchange student. The indigo-coloured Tapir-like creature could smell those in need of a hug. And wasn't that the purpose of the support monsters? To bring solace to those in need. But Soothing did not want to be pushy.
Cyphon finally could take it no longer. People watched but few lingered so long, doing nothing, saying nothing, just waiting.
"Excuse me, do you need something?" he asked.
"Do you need something?" Soothing replied.
"I don't think s...." Cyphon started.
But then he was engulfed in a warm blanket of hide, fur and leathery wings. And everything just relaxed.
"Maybe I did." he acknowledged, realising just what was in front of him.
"Glad to have been of assistance." Soothing whispered, ready to move on.
"Wait!" Cyphon called, "I think I need to know more about you."
"Certainly.... although I sense someone else in need, If you don't mind following me to talk I'm more than happy to reply to all your questions."
And so Cyphon followed the Support Monster as they went around, comforting, hugging and generally releaving stress and worry and sadness. And Cyphon realised there was so much this individual could do for those in need.
"Would you be willing to come with me when I return home?" Cyphon finally asked after several of these sessions learning about Soothing and their species, "I think you will find many in need there."
"I don't have a reason not to." Soothng agreed, "My fellows can keep things under control here."
