in build, most people would underestimate the natural beauty that is
Shirogane. She has yellow-blonde hair, blue eyes and features that would
appeal to most people. Even when she hides her pointy ears, most people
have no difficulty seeing her elf heritage. Especially when wearing her
armour she looks very regal with a straight back and proud expression.
Personality: Shirogane is reserved and tense. She hides it
well but has a hard time trusting others. Part of this definitely is
because of her upbringing, another part is because of what she's seen and
experienced. As most of the members of the Metallic Faction, Shirogane
works as a mercenary... and most of her bosses don't bother to hide the
less than savoury aspects of their personalities.
Skills:

line of metal artefacts, Shirogane usually uses her daggers for this.
*Can use her barrier magic to aid in aiming her sword
and daggers.
Hobbies: Taking nature walks, avoiding contact with other
people, watching children play.
Family: Shirogane was
taken in as a young girl and taught the beginnings of barrier magic. She
hardly has any recollection of her family, not knowing whether she was
orphaned or just abandoned. She has however found a new family in the
Faction, and those people she does trust completely.

HATCHING
Visiting Nidus Asteri had been
an adventure. Planet Kynn with it's mysterious waters and floating islands
was a sight to behold, even for half elves who'd grown up on stories of
ancient magic. And then of course there were the dragons. Legendary beings
but with more differences than they Khleur magicians would have believed
possible. None were the same and they were just like people with
personalities and even bad habits of their own.
At Nidus Asteri they mainly learned about the Elessadian dragons. An old
race of dragons who'd been cursed at one point to die by humans. Concensus
among the half elves was that that's why Sei had been looking for half
elves and not humans on Khleur. Although, the Elessadians had survived by
bonding to humans who'd been sympathetic to their cause.
After several weeks of getting into a new routine, everything changed when
they were called to the eggs.
Souzen, with his youthful wind energy, reached the destination first.
Closely followed by Makka who would not deny that she still possessed some
youthful energy. Shirogane, Usuiro and Nadeshiko hurried but didn't rush
but they too arrived well within the necessary timeframe to be on time.
Four clutches were simultaneously hatching and as such there were a lot of
dragonets on the sand, chaotically making the task of the recordkeepers
difficult with their wandering. But none of the half elves worried about
records, their eyes were trained on the different dragons, hoping one
would approach them.
Usuiro was the first to gain favour with one of the hatchlings. The
enigmatic Light mage had caught the attention of a yellow female. She was
a good size and had an even temper. She'd marvelled at a little ball of
light he'd let twinkle and she wanted more. She waited patiently, but when
he did not move, she prodded his hands until he understood her wish.
"Willow" she introduced herself later, using
the image of a moonlit night full of fireflies that swarmed around the
trees in Usuiro's hometown.
Not much later, a blue male dragonet ran into Souzen, matching his energy.
The two barely managed to stay upright by balancing each other in a big
bearhug. It was clear that a bond was made. Souzen could not stop grinning
and talking and once his dragon had caught on, the chattering only
intensified. Later he would introduce himself as
"Breath by Sapphire", a cool name for a mighty dragon.
Nadeshiko was the next one to bond even if she stood way in the
back. Though the prejudice hadn't followed her to Kynn, it was difficult
to act differently from what she'd been taught her entire life. A green
dragonet found the musician to be just what she wanted. A proper lady who
would know how to act in the wider world. With poise, elegance and
dignity. She would later choose the name "Blessed
Whimsy", a lovely name for a lovely dragoness.
Shirogane, standing ramrod straight as if presenting herself to royalty,
was joined by a red female the colour of rubies. It was the first thing
Shirogane could think of and clearly the dragonet was pleased with the
reference to something so precious. She would later choose it for her name
with the addition of the softest sand to land in:
"Ruby Sand".
With all the others bonded, Makka relaxed visibly. It was at that point in
time that an orange male dragonet with bright blue wings approached. He'd
been watching her from early on but knew how to time his entrance
perfectly. Giving a little grunt, he drew the fire mage's attention and
then proceeded to grin. Makka grinned right back and would later explain
that the dragonet had shown her the beauty of a thousand suns flaring all
at once as if to show off his name: "Wild Sun".
ADULTHOOD
"Are you certain you want to
come with me?" Shirogane asked.
"For the third time: Yes. It's your duty and since
we bonded I share it." Ruby vowed.
"I'm worried."
"I'm certain there are options. I won't be the first
dragon on Khleur. If others make it work than so can we."
"In the face of that reasoning I can hardly say no."
"And you'd feel bad for the rest of your life that
you'd abandoned your mission."
