Jacquotte looked around her yard. The
grass was short but vivid green, there were a few patches of dirt and sand
and even a small pond. At the edge of the yard, the terrain turned more
uneven with small dirt mounds covered in shrubs and small fruit trees. The
fence indicated where the yard ended but wasn't actually a barrier.
"Now all I need is to fill my yard with little ones."
Jacquotte said to no-one in particular.
But it felt good to voice her plans. The green female dragonoid had a lot of
love to give and now that her yard was perfect, her stables were stocked
with straw and her throughs were filled with feed, she was ready to go look
for the ideal companions.
"Little dragons." she mused.
Although, ... her mind raced forward, she did have all that outdoor space.
Building a few leanto structures wouldn't be difficult. Especially with aid
from a few of the local full-fledged dragons. She wasn't exactly feeble but
she did have her limitations.
"Maybe one day a big one. We'll see."
The first dragon she took in just
wandered inside her yard. She'd been woken up by a loud racket, and when she
came outside, she'd been greated by a pink and blue creature that was
somewhere in between a dragon and a duck. And it was hungry! Out of nowhere
pieces of bread appeared and the duck dragon started eating, settling
herself in quite nicely.
"So, apparently you're my first ward."
Jacquotte said, "Do you have a name?"
"Gregory!" the duckling happily replied before
going back to munching.
"Welcome Gregory."
Maybe she'd need to build a pond....
