Hoards of Metal, Bonds of Alchemy

THE UNDESIRABLE ARRANGEMENT OF COHOUSING
The three Glider Goat dragons stared daggers at each other. Without a permanent den to house their hoard, they had taken up the offer of the Laedryses to stay at Lantessama isle for a while. Neither had imagined they would have to do so in the vicinity of other Glider Goats. At least they each had a different metal so there was no danger of their hoards getting mixed up.
"Decide already!" Shtahrul growled toward Kwyhk.
The mercury-hoarding dragon was once again re-arranging their hoard from one end of the cavern to the other side. Mercury might not mix, but it did get everywhere and the weathered Steel-hoarding dragon had had enough of the noise and movement. At the far end of the cave, Furkyhn, a gold-hoarding Glider Goat acted as if she did not care. But Shahrul had noticed her tail twitching. He looked her way once more for back up but sighed as she turned away.
Kwyhk meanwhile had finished and rest returned, at least for a little while. The Mercurial dragon was already thinking that maybe the viles would be better placed in front of the chest as opposed to on top. They turned to get the opinion of their companions but thought better of it after the glare they got from Shtahrul. Furkyhn was ignoring them as usual. If only the gold-hoarding dragon would back them up... but she never quite made eyecontact.
Furkyhn meanwhile did her best best to keep out of the arguing of the other dragons. But counting her gold and polishing it, did lose it's luster after doing it days on end. There was no reasoning the ongoing annoyances and honestly, they were but petty squabbles. Sadly, they made it difficult for her as well. Soon she'd HAVE to do something, but she did not want to.
So it was with great expectation that the three dragons turned their attention on the Laedrys when she entered.
"I've got a few places with clutches that might provide interesting bonds and -most importantly - future housing." she said and was met with much enthusiasm.

RUSTED STEEL AND BLIGHTED IRON
Shtahrul had ventured to a place called Deception's Hive, a part of the conglomerate Dragon Pact that had member agencies on different planets and nexus-subdimensions. He and the other interested parties, had been allowed entrance into a large, but slightly run down, castle hall. It was roomy and Shtahrul's paws itched to take some of the present items. The ever-present eyes of balespawn kept him in check, though he did pet and caress some of the lovelier decaying steel.
After some time, they were ushered into a space where Deception Balechild, the foster-mother of the clutch awaited him. The two dragons eyed each other for a while and then the questions started:
"Where would you live?"
A difficult question right off the bat.
"I'm currently looking for a permanent home and thus can take my bond's wishes into account." Shathrul hedged.
"And how would you provide for one of my kin?"
That was easier. The information had noted that the Iron Balespawn were omnivorous and Lithivorous. He could provide ores and whatever else his new bond wanted would be given to them on Lantessama. He relayed this to Deception and waited.
"What are your plans for the future?"
"Getting my own place." he said before he could think and then added: "A nest for my bond to grow unencumbered."
"You pass." Deception ruled and waved to someone in the back.
A small dark brown hatchling with sharp scales, heavy plating and the telltale green fire approached. She showed no fear and sniffed Shtahrul to get his scent. After a while she nodded and said:
"He has plenty that I like in his scent. I'll eat and play well."
"You will always have your place here, foster-daughter." Deception sent them off, "Take this pet as a token of my promise."
A small blighthound was brought forward, snapping at those who dared come to close. He was not the affectionate kind, but he did know who he was meant to protect and protect her he would.
