Description: A dark-skinned man of average build and size. Rick has a large nose and very full lips. He has smoky grey eyes that are unusual but come from his grandfather. He keeps his hair short in dreads. He gets cold easily and often wears gloves, sweaters and scarves.
Personality: Rick is easy to get along with but with few friends that truely know him. He keeps a part of him hidden away because it's just easier that way. He has dated a couple of men but has yet to find someone to commit to. He is not a romantic soul, but he is looking for a partner that he can relax with.
Short Bio: Rick grew up in a middle-class family and went to college to study economics and trade. Recently he returned to study architecture because it's one of his passions and he hopes to one day build a structure that will weather the ages. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to further his studies under Captain Gemzi's command.

Travel
After weeks of trying to remember notes on different planets, their government structure and inhabiting races alongside getting to grips with a whole new level of technology, it was actually quite refreshing to (crash)land on a planet that was far less advanced. The official crew of the Star Fleet Vessel seemed dejected at having to stay put for now, maybe because they missed all their advanced technology. But to Rick it was like visiting a fantasy-world with a host of incredible buildings. Fortresses of stone, wooden houses, thatched roofs... and all in a variety that was mind-boggling.
So when an offer came to ride a dragon to another world, Rick jumped at the chance. He said his goodbyes to Nasya and the gang and did not look back. His ride brought him to a place of advanced technology again, but Rick was now much better prepared to deal with it and as a guest, he mananged.
He was given a tour, by a pretty young man, but alas he'd been taken. But the young guide did tell him about the many clutches that had been created to reflect the love of fur and feathers and how a little furry Chaos God called Aki might have done some things to change the abilities of the dragons within.
Abilities, Rick realised, that might help him in the future. A dragon would be a powerful ally. And maybe he should later go pay a visit to that Captain Gemzi as well.... The man might agree to give him some compensation for getting abducted.

Hatching
Rick had mananged to grab a spot for the hatching of Ontaziona and Baliarseli. People fully believed that the offspring would be able to shapeshift and some might even be able to use magic. Both concepts were foreign to Rick but by now he'd acquired some immunity to mental overload and he just nodded and believed what he was told.
Eggs started to hatch and Asian-styled dragons appeared in their place. Long and serpentile with horns and a furry mane. Their entire body was studded with gleaming gems and their tail appeared to also be metal, gleaming in the light. The hatchlings came in all colours of the rainbow, some bright and bold, others more subdued.
It was a soft brown hatchling with a silvery grey mane that finally made her way toward Rick and approved of his presence.
"I'll join you on your travels and help you as much as I can. My name is Ziarlitali."

Personality: Sly and wise, Ziarlitali is a meddler at heart. She interferes to help others but any benefit for her own account is happily accepted. She presents a matronly image but at (fleeting) times she also shows other sides of herself (and only to her bond and close friends).

Further Travel
Ziarlitali had grown up and Rick could hardly believe the tall tales of shapeshifting were, in fact, fact. Travelling adragonback was easy, but it was not always a possibility. At those times Ziarlitali happily changed into her fully human or semi-human form. Her skintone matched his own although her hair remained it's silver hue. She enjoyed keeping her horns and long, sensitive ears.
"Ready to move on?" Rick asked his bond.
He was already itching to go sightsee the next world. What buildings and structures would he discover there? He could only dream. But he'd long since learned that Reality was far more versatile than he'd ever imagined. With magic in the mix, the impossible became mundane.
"Are you certain you're going to let me decide?" Ziarlitalt asked.
"Of course. I know you can get a lot more out of the dragons than I can out of the humans."
"That's not true, you just thing that."
"Well, you haven't steared us wrong yet. I have faith in you."
Ziarlitali gave a smug smile, "Well, I do have a place in mind. Oh you'll love the place."
She transmitted the image she'd been given to her bond and very much relished how much his eyes widened.
"Let's go!" she called.
